Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Section 127(5) of the Municipal Finance Management Act 56 of 2003, that the draft Annual Report for the year dated 30 June 2012 as adopted by the Council of the Makana Municipality on 31 January 2013 will be discussed with the community during Public Consultation Sessions at the following venues.

CLOSURE OF ROADS DURING FREEDOM OF THE CITY PARADE
This notice serves to inform the general public that, due to the Freedom of the City Parade, the following traffic arrangements will apply on 07 March 2013:
- Corner of Hill/Beaufort Street between 09:00 & 09:30 will be closed for traffic.
- Corner of African/Cawood Street 06:00 till 10:30 will be closed for traffic.
- High Street from Church Square till the crossing at Cawood 06:00 till 10:30 will be closed for traffic.
- Somerset Street at Rhodes University, New Street over crossing into Knight Street will be closed for a short period.
Any inconvenience that will be caused by these arrangements is regretted.
Any queries in this regard can be directed to the Assistant Director: Traffic Services at 046 603 6079 during normal office hours.

The Special Council meeting held on 29 May 2012 adopted the 2012/113 Budget for Makana Municipality. In his submission to Council, the Acting Municipal Manager, Mandisi Planga stated that “in order to maintain the current level of services and to improve on it, revenue has to be generated”.
